Video: Let’s Talk About Health Equity

It will take many diverse voices to help ensure everyone in the United States has the opportunity to achieve their optimal health — regardless of where they live, their race and ethnicity, their income and other factors. That’s why Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas convened the second annual Health Equity Summit. Experts in the field, including former U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Regina Benjamin, joined leaders of the five Blues Plans to explore barriers and opportunities in addressing the social determinants of health.
